Q1003 Gobi (Goh-bee) is reminiscent of sandstone with a two-tone fine scale structure in a sand color. The name brings to mind the yellow sands of the Gobi dessert. Covering more than 500,000 square miles of China and Mongolia, the dessert is home to the only remaining Bactrain, two-humped camels, as well as the last surviving Gobi bears in the world.
